Sustainability Officer

The universal impact formula: Respect our planet + respect each other

Pascal is the Sustainability Officer at FS Impact Finance,

who regularly dives deep into the EU Sustainable Finance framework and develops and reports on the firm’s sustainability and impact targets. Pascal focuses on getting the products of FS Impact Finance ready for the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation and EU Taxonomy and works with the investment teams on launching new impact investment products.

Pascal joined FS Impact Finance in July 2022 and previously worked in investment banking compliance at UniCredit and Deutsche Bank. Through his work as a trading floor compliance advisor in Munich, London, and Frankfurt, he acquired a strong background in working with regulations and now also serves FS Impact Finance as Deputy Compliance & AML Officer.

Pascal holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Bielefeld University (yes, the city really exists) and a Master of Laws with distinction in corporate finance law from the University of Westminster in London. He is a “Certified Compliance Professional” as well as a “Certified Expert in ESG & Impact Investing”.

Pascal loves to spend time with his son and, if there is any time left over, grow fruits and vegetables for vegan dishes in his allotment garden. Apart from that, Pascal enjoys exploring the roots of Detroit Techno and Chicago House music, just like Jazz and Soul. For the active part of his music passion, he produces electronic music, plays DJ sets and, to the pity of his wife, his saxophone far too seldom.
