Derek Campbell

previously having worked for the Frankfurt School – UNEP Collaborating Centre for Climate & Sustainable Energy Finance since 2016. Currently, Derek is managing the Seed Capital Assistance Facility and is also focused on developing new concepts and funds across the impact space with a focus on emerging economies.

Derek’s background is in the renewable energy sector, where he has worked for several years on the advisory side working with public and private actors. His professional experience has focused on emerging economies, in particular the African continent.

Derek has a Bachelor of Commerce from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and a Master of Science from Halmstad University. In his spare time, Derek is an avid traveller – particularly developing countries and islands – and enjoys spending time on his bike in the countryside.
