Joy Gundran-Snieders is a member of the FS Impact Finance team
since June 2018
and is responsible for Southeast Asia. Joy has a strong finance and audit background, having started her career at Price Waterhouse Philippines and gathering experience and expertise in various corporate and microfinance institutions over 20 years.
She became involved in microfinance while working for IPC GmbH (Germany) in Uganda, Haiti, and in Eastern European countries such as Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Kosovo, and Serbia. She was chief finance officer for Heineken in Kazakhstan and for Finca in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
She took a break from professional work for a few years focusing on family life but continued to engage in consultancy work for MFIs. Joy has a Bachelor in Commerce with a major in Accountancy from the Ateneo de Davao University and a Master of Business Administration from the Ateneo de Manila University. She enjoys books, films, scuba-diving, travelling to new destinations and family time.
