Mark Nydam is the Fund Principal for the Africa Green Loop Fund.
Mark joined FS Impact Finance at the end of 2019 and is excited to be part of the team, leading FS Impact Finance’s private capital impact investment initiatives. He has 15 years of experience leading teams that invested over USD 1 billion of private capital into impact investments in the United States, Europe and Asia.
Mark has served on a number of company and investment fund boards across the impact space and has strong board and senior executive experience in the waste-to-value sector. Prior in his career, he served as senior strategy consultant with Booz Allen & Hamilton in the Middle East and Asia.
Mark was a member of the P8/P80 Group which was formed by Prince Charles to encourage and channel sovereign wealth fund and public pension fund investments into the impact space.
He has an MBA with Honors and a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Chicago. He has Masters’ and Bachelors’ degrees in Geology and Geophysics from Yale University. In his spare time, Mark enjoys cycling, playing basketball and cooking.
